The second Context, Cognition and Communication Conference will be hosted by the Institute of Philosophy, University of Warsaw. The main theme of the conference is "Contexts, Concepts, Objects".The purpose of the conference is to provide a platform for philosophers, linguists and cognitive scientists for discussing issues connected with the phenomenon of context dependence, the theory of concepts, the theory of abstract objects as well as the connections between the three areas. We encourage submissions addressing "large-scale" as well as "smaller-scale" foundational philosophical issues.ORGANIZERS: Institute of Philosophy, University of Warsaw & Center for Philosophical ResearchCONFERENCE VENUE: Karowa 18 Street, Institute of Sociology building, University of WarsawPOST-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP VENUE: Old Library Building, University of Warsaw Main Campus, Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28 StreetDATES:June 16-19, 2018 (the main conference)June 20, 2018 (post-conference workshop)CFP:Deadline for submissions: February 11, 2018 (extended)KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:Robyn Carston (University College London)Peter Gärdenfors (University of Lund)Michael Glanzberg (Northwestern University)Edward Zalta (Stanford University)
